CACI, General Dynamics Team Up on Army System Upgrade

CACI (NYSE: CACI) reports it inked a deal to provide program management and technical engineering services to upgrade Common Ground Systems (CGS) with subsystems from the U.S. Army’s Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) Ground Mobile system.

CACI will team with General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) on the contract.

According to the firm, “the DCGS-A integrates intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data within a single system to streamline the Army’s ability to process and disseminate this data to commanders in the field.”

The contract is valued at $45 million.

“With this new contract, CACI continues its longtime commitment to providing support in the battle against global terrorism, ” CEO Paul Cofoni said. “We look forward to offering proven solutions for the Army’s data and intelligence needs in the years to come.”
