Linda Mills, Northrop Grumman Promote Cybersecurity Awareness Month

Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) is launching several new initiatives in October to promote the 7th Annual National Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

The annual event is sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security as a way to highlight the steps being taken to secure national information technology infrastructure.

Linda A. Mills, corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman Information Systems and the point person for the company’s cybersecurity efforts,  “Securing our critical infrastructure demands a dedicated workforce and cutting-edge technologies.  Underpinning success in these efforts is strong public-private partnerships; we’re too interconnected not to work together.”

Northrop Grumman is the Presenting Sponsor for CyberPatriot III, a national cybersecurity contest for high school students, and will host a Cyber education Workshop on October 15 to get DC-area high school students excited about a career in cybersecurity.
