Contract of a ‘Lifetime’: CACI Wins VLER Deal; CEO Paul Cofoni Comments

CACI (NYSE: CACI) booked a prime contract to support the comprehensive Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Virtual Lifetime Electronic Record (VLER) initiative.

According to the firm, “the new work will involve developing an across-the-board solution that will consolidate the medical records of Armed Forces members in an electronic database available to all VA and Department of Defense facilities/providers, as well as to any private, civilian medical offices that service members might use.”

The BPA includes a ceiling value of $91 million over five years via the General Services Administration’s Schedule 70 contract vehicle.

“This new work with the Department of Veterans Affairs will enable full and direct access to the depth and breadth of CACI’s entire IT services portfolio, ” CEO Paul Cofoni said. “The support we provide for national priorities is enhanced with the critical help we will provide for our servicemen and women to quickly and accurately access their healthcare records as they serve their nation and transition into civilian life.”
