According to the Department of Defense, “BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $11, 092, 061 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-10-C-4407) for the USS New Orleans (LPD 18) fiscal 2011 phased maintenance availability. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by March 2011. Contract funds in the amount of $11, 092, 061 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.”

BAE Systems has expanded its modeling and simulation solutions business with the addition of Topaz Intelligence, a custom intelligence services provider acquired through its Ball Aerospace acquisition in February.
