Army Places $9 Million Radio Order with Harris

Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) booked a $9 million order from the U.S. Army to provide Falcon II AN/PRC-150(C) high-frequency manpack radios.

According to the firm, “the Army is acquiring the AN/PRC-150(C) to provide soldiers with superior long-haul terrestrial beyond-line-of-sight tactical communication capabilities. Widely deployed by U.S. and NATO forces across the world, the AN/PRC-150(C) is the only Type-1 certified HF radio available today.”

The radio is able to keep communications secure in demanding conditions.

“Harris is the world leader in high-frequency tactical communications, ” said Brendan O’Connell, president, Department of Defense business, Harris RF Communications. “The AN/PRC-150(C) provides warfighters with critical long-range communications where line-of-sight is not an option.”
