Alion Nabs Important Navy Deal

Alion Science and Technology was one of 14 firms to gain access to a $134 million contract from the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) to support the development and procurement of Navy above water sensors.

According to the firm, “work under the contract will result in more efficient office and project management functions and continuity over the entire acquisition cycle. PEO IWS 2.0 is the Above Water Sensors Directorate within PEO IWS.”

Alion reports that it is ready to go to work on the deal and provide an edge for the Navy.

“As threats to the U.S. fleet continue to grow and evolve, sensor technology must also advance, in order to protect warfighters and maintain a strategic advantage, ” Kevin Lees, senior vice president and manager of the acquisition program management group. “Alion’s technical and operational support, coupled with our long experience working with Program Offices, can help PEO IWS streamline processes and improve decision making.”
