Vangent won a subcontract from Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) to support the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Environmental Satellite Processing and Distribution Services (ESPDS) Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contract.
According to the firm, “the single-award cost-plus-award-fee contract has a one-year base period with four one-year option periods for a total period of performance of five years.”
“Whether it is processing satellite imagery of hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean or other environmental events, Vangent’s work will help NOAA and the National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service efficiently and effectively fulfill its mission of providing timely access to global environmental data to promote, protect, and enhance the Nation’s economy, security, environment and quality of life, ” said Craig Janus, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Civilian, Defense and National Security, Vangent.
