Harris Names Ted Hengst CIO

Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) named Ted Hengst corporate vice president and chief information officer (CIO), reporting to Howard L. Lance, chairman, president and CEO.

According to the firm, “Hengst will have responsibility for setting the strategic direction, architecture and governance of Harris’ global IT enterprise to drive innovation, fuel growth, and enable transformation to advance our customers’ and Harris’ competitive advantage through the use of information technology.”

“Ted is extremely well qualified for this strategic role within our organization and is the ideal leader to deliver innovative, transformational solutions to advance our customer missions by leveraging the power of IT, ” Lance said. “Under his leadership, our IT Services business has more than doubled and has become an industry recognized leader.”
