Bahman Atefi on Alion’s $2 Billion Contract Win

Alion Science has won the $2 billion Software, Networks, Information, Modeling and Simulation (SNIM) contract from the Department of Defense (DoD).   Alion will focus on “the need to improve access, sharing and security of information.”

“Access to information is a deciding factor in the success of military operations. Under SNIM, Alion’s expertise can be focused on helping the DoD achieve greater control over and insight to the data that is necessary to support national security objectives,” said Bahman Atefi, chairman and CEO. “In addition, we will continue our long-standing support of the DoD’s modeling and simulation requirements, delivering expertise in live/virtual/constructive simulations and helping to promote newer, effective solutions such as serious gaming.”
