Alion, Booz Allen, ITT, L-3, SAIC, Wyle Among Firms Awarded Pieces of $2B Air Force Deal

Alion Science and Technology, Applied Research Associates, Battelle Memorial Institute, Booz Allen Hamilton, ITT Corp, L-3, SAIC, Wyle Laboratories and MacAulay-Brown have each been awarded a piece of a $2 billion contract with the Air Force.

According to the Department of Defense, “Alion (FA1500-10-D-0001); Applied Research Associates (FA1500-10-D0002); Battelle Memorial Institute (FA1500-10-D0003); Booz Allen Hamilton (FA1500-10-D0004); ITT Corp (NYSE: ITT) (FA1500-10-D0005); L-3 (NYSE: LLL) (FA1500-10-D0006); MacAulay-Brown (FA1500-10-D0007); SAIC (NYSE: SAI) (FA1500-10-D0008); and Wyle Laboratories (FA1500-10-D0009) were awarded a $2,000,000,000 contract which will provide research, development, test and evaluation services, as well as advisory and assistance services, related to research and development efforts for technical area tasks within software, information technology networks, information assurance, information sharing, knowledge management, and modeling and simulation focus areas.  At this time, no money has been obligated.  55 CONS/LGCD, Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., is the contracting activity.”
