SAIC Wins Deal with U.S. Transportation Command

SAIC (NYSE: SAI) has won a task order from the U. S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) to support the Agile Transportation for the 21st Century (AT21) initiative by providing process and systems improvement and re-engineering for business process management (BPM) development activities.

The task order has a six-month base period of performance, four one-year options, a six-month extension period, and a total value of more than $18 million, if all options and extensions are exercised. Work will be performed in O’Fallon, Ill., and Scott Air Force Base, Ill. The task order was awarded under the Defense Information Systems Agency’s ENCORE II contract.

“For more than 20 years, SAIC has been supporting military deployment and distribution activities,” said Tom Baybrook, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager. “We’re looking forward to providing innovative and thoughtful options to help USTRANSCOM enhance their support to the warfighter.”
