Contract Award – SAIC – $500 Million – TSA


SAIC announced today that it was awarded a contract to provide integration services for security equipment for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The five year contract has a ceiling of $500 million.

Under the contract, SAIC will be responsible for upgrading TSA security equipment at TSA sites in the US and abroad. Senior vice president and business unit general manager at SAIC, John Ferriter, said “We look forward to helping TSA rapidly field screening equipment, using every tool possible to address those threats and develop methods of combating them – this use of technology will help us stay ahead of those intent on harming our nation.”

TSA Seeks to Purchase Explosive Detection Systems

The Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration plans to issue an indefinite-delivery contract for the procurement and installation of Type 1 and Type 2 explosive detection systems. TSA expects to release a solicitation by March 4 and award the contract by the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2024, according to a notice published Tuesday
