Qwest Wins $11 Million Contract With Denver Public Schools

Qwest has landed an $11 million, 10-year contract from the Cherry Creek School District No. 5 in Denver, to install a dedicated fiber network for the district in order to upgrade the district’s schools and administrative offices. Qwest’s dedicated network will connect 65 schools, the district’s offices, and a maintenance facility. Funds for the new network came from the federal E-Rate program, amplified with funds approved by voters in November 2008.
