QinetiQ Acquires Cyber Firm Cyveillance

images-13As of July 1st Cyveillance is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of QinetiQ North America. Cyveillance provides cyber intelligence and internet risk and threat assessment to businesses around the globe. QinetiQ’s acquisition acknowledges the growing government market for cybersecurity innovation and products. 

Under the agreement Cyveillance will continue to provide services to its commercial clients but will now aide QinetiQ’s technology division that focuses on government cyber security solutions. 

images2QinetiQ North America’s CEO Duane Andrews said, “We selected Cyveillance because their open source cyber solutions perfectly complements our existing portfolio of security services and solutions. QinetiQ North America is now uniquely positioned to provide government customers with cyber capabilities previously only available within the commercial markets.”
