Small Business Association names Tony Jimenez Veteran Champion of the Year


Tony Jimenez, President and CEO of MicroTech, was awarded the “2009 Veteran Small Business Champion of the Year for the Washington, DC Metro Area and the states of Virginia, Maryland  Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia.”

 

“As an active advocate for Veterans in Business, being named the Veteran Champion of the Year award is an extra special honor, ” said Jimenez “Organizations like the SBA have provided a significant helping hand to veterans as entrepreneurs. Their valuable guidance and support has helped level the playing field and made a difference for small business.”

 

Jimenez is a decorated U.S. veteran who also serves on the boards for the American Legion Economic Task Force, the American Red Cross of the National Capital Area, and the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs Small Business Council. He has also worked to raise money for wounded veterans for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund and is helping wounded veterans get jobs through the “Wounded Warrior Redeployment Program.”
